Isolated set of resources, users, apps and data in the cloud

A tenant is a virtual environment in the cloud , which has isolated data storage, applications and . Every business customer (organization) will usually have at least one tenant or even more ( test tenant, production tenant, etc. ) Every tenant has unique identifier consisting of several letters and digits, which is assigned when created and can not be changed later. The applications installed in the tenants can store and retrieve structured data in a relational database or/and unstructured data into a cloud-based file system. The applications in the same tenant can share and access the data stored in the tenant enabling the building up of complex solutions from many application integrated on a data level.

Each tenant has one system administrator, who can installed, configure and uninstall apps in th tenant this making them available for the tenant users.
